– For use on Coffee, tea, soda, urine, and other cellulosic browning problems. Effectively removes colored food dyes from the carpet using the heat transfer method. For removing yellowing and coffee stains, it also removes dyes that have bled onto the white or colorfast carpet.
– Great for Tough Red Stains. A strong and effective stripping agent for stains or fugitive dyes on textiles or carpet.
– For taking out food dyes such as cool-aid: by using the Heat Transfer Method: mix 2-4 ounces of Reducing Agent Plus in 1 gallon of water. Soak a white terry towel in the solution. Heat an electric iron to its setting where it would steam on contact with water. Place the wet towel on the stain and place the heated iron on the towel. Leave the iron on a towel until no more steam is produced, wet another section of the towel and repeat the procedure. You will notice the dye transferring to the towel. Repeat the procedure as necessary.
– For taking out tannin stains: mix 2-4 ounces of Reducing Agent Plus in each gallon of water. Shake until dissolved. Spray on spot or coffee stain until spot disappears. A second application may be necessary. Vacuum carpet when dry.
– For removing fugitive dyes: for stains on white fabrics, apply Reducing Agent Plus to spot with a bone spatula. Add a few drops of diluted acetic acid solution. Work out the stain with a bone spatula from the edge of the stain to center. Rinse with water and blot.
– For dyes that have bled onto white or colorfast fabric: mix 1 ounce of Reducing Agent Plus in 1 gallon of water. Apply using a clean white towel. Blot, rinse with cold water and blot.
